7/22/2008 San Francisco's Sanctuary City Policy Responsible for Heinous Murders

San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsome and his cronies now have even more blood on their hands as a father and his two sons were gunned down in cold blood by a criminal illegal alien MS-13 gang member who had been coddled and protected by San Francisco's sanctuary city policy. Newsome and other city leaders have purposely supported illegal aliens rather than American citizens.

In this case, the gang member in question had two prior felony arrests, as well as a number of lesser arrests and charges. Nevertheless, San Francisco sheltered him from federal laws.

Mayor Anthony Villaraigosa of Los Angeles is also a firm supporter of sanctuary city policies and of Los Angeles' Police Department's Special Order 40 which prevents police from inquiring about a criminal's immigration status.

5/22/2008 Jim Inhofe (R-Oklahoma) Letter about Amnesty Defeat

Dear Friend,

I am proud to report that our latest efforts to stop the Amnesty Caucus have been successful! Senator Reid removed Dianne Feinstein's amnesty amendment from the war funding bill before it even reached the Senate floor.

Thank you for rallying to my call for support. In addition to the thousands of concerned Americans who co-signed the letter to Senator Reid, many of my colleagues and conservative groups nationwide sprang to action with similar efforts.

I know Democrat leaders like Harry Reid hate it when we organize to defeat the amnesty agenda. That's why Reid and his friends are working every day to make sure I'm not reelected this year. Every day their liberal allies are fundraising to buy hundreds of thousands of dollars in TV ads to attack me.

Ever since I first ran for office, I've counted on grassroots supporters to fund my campaigns. It's why I'm not afraid to take conservative positions in the U.S. Senate, even when I know the Democrats will be investing heavily to defeat me. Now, as I fight for our shared beliefs and organize my reelection campaign, I need your help.

Will you please make a small contribution in support of my campaign? If every person who signed the no-amnesty letter gave just $15, we would instantly raise over $100,000 to help spread my positive message to voters in Oklahoma.

My campaign needs resources to put grassroots volunteers into action, and I'm counting on supporters like you to make it possible. Your contribution of $15, $25, $50 or $100 will help our efforts tremendously. Please consider making a small contribution today!

Sincerely,

Jim Inhofe

Jim Inhofe

United States Senator

P.S. Let's send a message to the Amnesty Caucus: when Senators like me stand up and oppose their agenda, there's a huge community of conservatives who are there to support my decision. Please make a $15 contribution today.

1/30/2008 Illegal Immigrants to get Tax Rebates from Stimulus Plan

According to Fox News:

The $146 billion stimulus package intended to jolt the economy by giving taxpayers rebates up to $1,200 includes cash returns for illegal immigrants who pay taxes.

Under the plan passed by the House, illegal immigrants who qualify as "resident aliens" and earned a minimum of $3,000 would be eligible for rebates of between $300-$600, FOX News has learned.

Only those illegals who have been assigned an Individual Tax Identification Number that allows them to file income taxes would be eligible. Resident aliens are defined as people who spend a "substantial" amount of time in the U.S. and have not been deported.

The provision has irked illegal immigration opponents, who say the assigning of TINs and collection of taxes from illegals sanctions their presence in the country.

Rep. Tom Tancredo, R-Colo., told FOX News that the bill will certainly stimulate "more illegal immigration."

The stimulus plan met with overwhelming bipartisan support Tuesday, passing the House 385-35 with little debate after House leaders and White House negotiators came to agreement last week.
