Identity theft has become a serious problem in the United States. It is in the news every day. Yet many of us do not realize that illegal alien workers create a high demand for identity theft. There are over 12 milllion illegal immigrants in the United States, each of whom needs illegal documents to mask their true identity in the workplace, in schools, social services, and so on. Illegal immigrants drive an insatiable demand for stolen social security numbers, forged driver's licenses, birth certificates, credit cards, and other documents. This incredible demand supports and provides financial resources to identity theft criminals and forgers.

As long as great numbers of illegal aliens remain in our country, none of us are safe from identity theft.
